Men's golf in the hunt for national championship

HOUSTON, Texas- The University of Indianapolis men's golf team combined to post an even-par score of 280 in the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship Wednesday.  UIndy finished the day in third place among the country's 20-best DII teams with three rounds yet to play at the 7,158-yard, par-70 Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.

Prascsak tied for 18th at halfway point

HOUSTON, Texas- All-conference golfer Sarah Prascsak (75-77) finished round two of play at the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championship at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas Wednesday.  Through two rounds of the 72-hole event, the sophomore shares 18th place among the nation’s best Division II golfers.

Paul, Saroff named to All-Region First Team

INDIANAPOLIS- In a vote by the region's sports information directors, Greyhounds Seth Paul and Chris Saroff were named to the 2008 Daktronics All-North Central Region First Team Wednesday.  Paul, a senior at UIndy, garnered the honor at the catcher's spot while freshman Saroff is the first team's third baseman.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.- The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) announced the 2007-08 student athlete and coaches awards for Division II Women's Golf and UIndy junior Kristi Piepenbrink and sophomore Sarah Prascsak were among the honorees.  Piepenbrink garnered Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA DII All-American Honorable Mention while Prascsak was named to the NGCA All-East Region Team.
