UIndy Athletics

Dave Holman is the throwing coach for both the UIndy men's and women's track teams.  Since coming to Indianapolis in 2002, Coach Holman's throwers have claimed two NCAA Division II individual national championships.  He has mentored a total of 17 All-Americans, 40 national finalists, 20 Little State championships, and 34 Great Lakes Valley Confernence champions.  Since 2002-03, UIndy's throwers have held or currently hold various national, Little State, conference and school records.

Before his current stint at UIndy, Holman coached the boys and girls throwers at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind. from 1999-2002 after holding the same postition at Southport High School in Indianapolis from 1991-1999.  As a high school coach, Coach Holman had a total of 10 state place winners and 20 state finals qualifiers.  His prep throwers set shot put and discus records at many levels, including state, regional, sectional, county, conference and school marks.

Holman is also a member of the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame, as he was a head high school wrestling coach for 20 years prior to moving to track and field.
