Cheerleading
The 2009-10 UIndy cheer squad has been named after tryouts earlier this Spring. The new squad features 13 members. The squad will be administratively directed and supervised by Diane Drumm. Drumm serves as assistant to the Director of Athletics. The team will be coached by Tessa Wolsiffer. Wolsiffer, in her fifth season as coach, was a four-year member of the Greyhound cheer squad and served as captain during the 04-05 season.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The University of Indianapolis Cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleading Association’s College Spirit Camp July 29-31 at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The UIndy cheerleaders participated in three days of camp with over 350 cheerleaders.

Cheerleaders collect honors at Spirit Camp
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.-   The UIndy cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association's College Spirit Camp at the University of Tennessee Knoxville on July 27-28 with over 800 college cheerleaders, mascots, and coaches attending.  The all girl squad took classes in game planning, safety and stunts. The squad earned five superior ribbons in game planning, sideline cheering, and cheers.  The final day of camp, the squad competed with eight other all girl Division II squads.  They earned fourth place in both sideline cheering and cheer.

Cheerleading Golf Outing Information
The UIndy cheerleading team is hosting the first annual Cheerleading Golf Outing, scheduled for Aug. 24 at Valle Vista Golf Course in Greenwood, Ind.  The outing will feature prizes for the top foursome, a putting contest, a closest to the pin and the longest putt contest.  Contact Diane Drumm at 317-788-3246 for more details.

Cheerleaders win awards at Spirit Camp
The University of Indianapolis cheerleading squad attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association's College Spirit Camp at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, July 28-30, and came home with several honors.   The UIndy team placed fifth in the DII and Small School sidelines all-girl squad competition, was named "Most Improved at Camp" and won the "Leadership Award" for DII and Small School all-girl squads.
