Five gridders earn All-GLIAC honors

BAY CITY, Mich.-  Five Greyhounds earned All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors, including four from the conference's top-ranked defense, announced by league officials Wednesday.  Senior Tim Dury, senior Randall Courtney and junior Craig Ray were all first team honorees while J.T. Owens and Mike Dum were named to the second team.  Six Hounds also earned honorable mention accolades.

Wildcats take season finale, 41-14

MARQUETTE, Mich.-  Host Northern Michigan ran out to a 28-0 lead and held on for a 41-14 win at the Superior Dome Saturday afternoon.  The Greyhounds were held off the scoreboard in the first half, but got scores from Stephen Geller and Paul Corsaro in the season finale.

Eagles sack Hounds for 19-3 win
ASHLAND, Ohio-- The first two plays of the game set the tone and the host Ashland Eagles secured a 19-3 win in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon.  AU's Carlin Isles returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a score and a turnover on the first UIndy offensive play helped dig a hole from which the Greyhounds could not recover.

Hounds survive for another Homecoming win
INDIANAPOLIS-  Senior Stephen Geller hauled-in a 38-yard pass for a score late in the third quarter to give UIndy its first lead in a 21-17 homecoming win over Tiffin Saturday at Key Stadium.  The Hounds picked-up their third straight win in the process and improved to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in league play.

BAY CITY, Mich.-  Greyhound defensive back J.T. Owens has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, according to a release Monday by league officials.  The senior co-captain helped UIndy to a 38-20 win over Michigan Tech Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS-  The Greyhound defense forced five turnovers en route to a 38-20 win over Michigan Tech at Key Stadium Saturday night.  Despite holding the statistical advantage in nearly every category, the Huskies gave up the big play multiple times to an opportunistic Greyhound squad that earned its second straight win.

On tap:  UIndy will look to make it two in a row as it hosts Michigan Tech Saturday at Key Stadium.  The Huskies make the long trek to Indy owners of a 1-5 record after a tough 14-5 loss to Findlay last week.  Conversely, the Hounds dominated Ferris State, 34-7 to garner their second win of the season.
