INDIANAPOLIS-  The Greyhound swimming teams each took sixth place at the annual House of Champions Invite, hosted by IUPUI at the IU Natatorium Friday and Saturday.  The meet featured teams from the host school, Ashland, Ball State, Butler, Xavier, Western Illinois and UIndy.

SOMERS, Wis.- Make it two-for-two for UIndy swimmers.  In their second meet of the season, two more Greyhound athletes were named the Counsilman Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors for Division II, announced by CollegeSwimming.com Tuesday.  Guy Kogel, who also won on Oct. 14, and Erica Smith were each bestowed honors.

SOMERS, Wis.-  A pair of Indianapolis Greyhound swimmers earned national honors this week, winning Counsilman Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors for Division II, announced by CollegeSwimming.com Tuesday.  Both athletes were successful in their season-opening meet at Purdue University.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.-  The Greyhound swimming and diving season is just underway and already UIndy is compiling a list of qualifiers for the season-ending NCAA Championship meet.  Opening the season against four NCAA Division I schools at the annual Indiana Intercollegiate meet at Purdue University Saturday, both the men and women finished in third place while four swimmers notched qualifying times.

INDIANAPOLIS- Eight UIndy swimmers were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Scholar All-Americans according to a release by the organization this week.  In addition, both teams were bestowed with Division II Team Scholar All-America accolades by CSCAA.

HOUSTON- A trio of Greyhounds raced to All-American finishes in the University of Houston pool during the final day of competition at the 2009 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. Alican Alacli, Ozlem Taskin and Isabela Tafur all earned All-American recognition with their swims Saturday.

HOUSTON- Erica Smith and Manuel Stiem each took their third All-American honor of the 2009 Division II National Championships at the University of Houston Friday. Smith earned her accolades in the 200-yard butterfly, while Stiem took his finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Greyhound women's 800-yard freestyle relay also earned All-American honors, finishing sixth in their race.

HOUSTON, Texas- Manuel Stiem and Erica Smith each notched their second All-American finishes of the national meet during Day II of competition at the NCAA Division II Winter Festival.
