Fishback, Wane get Daktronics All-Region nod
Men's All-Region
Both Greyhounds make second team

SOMERS, Wis.- The UIndy men's soccer team landed two players on the 2008 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Midwest Region teams, with senior Brian Fishback and junior Mar Wane both being selected to the All-Region second team. The teams are sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., and are voted on by region sports information directors.

Fishback took a midfield spot on the team. The senior captain, who also earned a spot on the All-GLVC second team, started 16 of UIndy's 17 games on the season and had two goals, including the Hounds' lone score in its 2-1 GLVC Tournament loss to Drury to end the season. He had four assists for a season total of eight points.

Wane started 11 games on the season and played 12 total as a part of the Greyhound defense. The junior took two shots on the season while helping the defense to three shutouts on the season.

Rockhurst landed six of its team members on the All-Region squads, with four earning first team honors. Midfielder Steven Beattie of Northern Kentucky took the Midwest Region's "Player of the Year" honors.
