WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.-  The Greyhounds men's swimming team battled Purdue University in a dual meet Friday evening, sticking with the Division I Boilermakers, falling by a 152-104 score.

Alican Alacli was a mere second off the pace for an NCAA B-cut time in the 1000 freestyle, picking-up third place for his 9:47.93 clocking.  It was another close miss for a B-cut in the 200 freestyle as Alex Arestis went 1:44.53 in the event, a half-second away from the standard. Arestis later did pick-up a B-standard, taking second in the 100 freestyle (46.77).

Adam Petro finished runner-up in the 200 butterfly and managed his B-cut with a 1:54.30 time.  Manuel Stiem ran away with the 200 individual medley, easily etching a B-standard and missing out on an NCAA "A" cut by four one-hundredths of a second (1:53.43).

The 200 freestyle relay squad wrapped-up the dual with a win, touching in 1:28.01.

The Greyhounds will next compete at the IUPUI House of Champions Invite, set for Dec. 5-6 at the IU Natatorium in downtown Indianapolis.
