INDIANAPOLIS- The region's sports information directors plucked three players from the University of Indianapolis volleyball roster to be included on the 2008 Daktronics, Inc. All-Midwest Region Volleyball Teams, as senior Beth Robbins, junior Kyleigh Turner, and sophomore Lyndsay Callahan were all named to the seven-player First Team. UIndy was one of three schools with three players among the 14 recipients, but was the only institution with three first teamers.

As the only repeat First Team honoree this year, setter Beth Robbins (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished her UIndy tenure with both the career and single-season assist records while also ranking ninth in the school annals in career digs. The 2008 Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year also spearheaded the program's all-time winningest class as Robbins collected 110 wins in her career, most ever in a four-year span.

Kyleigh Turner owns three of the top five highest single-season dig totals in school history and is already the career leader in that category with a full year of eligibility remaining. Prior to her first team all-region recognition, the Muncie, Ind. native earned her second All-GLVC First Team nod.

Sophomore Lyndsay Callahan (Chicago, Ill.) has compiled nearly 800 career kills in her two seasons in a Greyhound uniform. She also tallied the eighth highest single-season dig total in school history in '08, breaking her own record for most digs in a season by a non-libero.

Robbins, Turner and Callahan helped lead the Greyhounds to a 29-10 record this season, including a second straight trip to the NCAA regional semifinals.  As first-team honorees, all three are eligible for All-American consideration.
