On Tap: The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team wraps up the calendar year with a pair of non-conference affairs, starting with a Saturday match-up wth Lincoln Memorial at Nicoson Hall. UIndy's final two contests of 2008 are also its final non-conference bouts of the season. After Monday's game at Christian Brothers, the Greyhounds will finish the regular season with 16 straight GLVC games.
About Lincoln Memorial: The Lincoln Memorial Lady Railspilters head into Saturday's match-up sporting a 5-3 record. Indianapolis will be the third GLVC school LMU has faced this season, as Lady Railspilters notched a 99-67 home win against St. Joseph's Nov. 25 after falling to Quincy on the road in a 89-53 final Nov. 16.
Members of the Division II South Atlantic Conference, Lincoln Memorial University makes its home in Harrogate, Tenn., just south of the Kentucky and Virginia borders.
LMU is led by the one-two punch of Stephanie Wagner (15.6 ppg) and Andi Winney (14.9 ppg). Wagner, a native of Elkhart, Ind., tops the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) with an even .500 (24-for-48) three-point field goal percentage while sinking all 17 of her free throw attempts. Winney's blistering .673 field goal accurancy is good for third in the conference. As a team, the Lady Railsplitters have compiled a league-leading .782 free throw percentage.
Hounds vs. Lady Railspliters: Saturday marks the first ever meeting between the two squads.
About Christian Brothers: After compiling a 19-10 record last season, Christian Brothers enter play this weekend with a 5-3 mark. The Lady Buccanceers will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they host Wesley (Miss.) Saturday afternoon.
Five-foot-six sophomore guard Tanaeya Worden paces the team in scoring (14.5 ppg), asssists (3.3 apg) and steals (2.0 spg). Sheena DeBose leads the squad in rebounding (5.3 rpg) while averaging just 16.9 minutes played per game.
Hounds vs. Lady Buccaneers: The Greyhounds have yet to face the Lady Bucs heading into Monday's meeting. In fact, UIndy has just one game in its history against any of the schools in the 15-team Gulf South Conference. The Hounds dropped Ouachita Baptist 60-53 on a neutral court Dec. 17, 2002.
Last Time Out: Sarah Fenneman recorded her first career double-double with a 20-point, 10-rebound performance last Saturday to help Indianapolis to a 79-66 road win versus Central State at Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium. Fenneman led five Greyhounds in double-digit scoring to snap CSU's five-game winning streak.

Strong Fenn-ish: Redshirt sophomore
Sarah Fenneman had a career performance in last Saturday's victory at Central State. The Evansville, Ind. native recorded personal highs in points (20), rebounds (10), free throws made (8) and minutes played (35) in the Hounds' 13-point win.
No GLVC, No Problem: UIndy has a solid 9-1 record versus non-ceference opponents this season. The Greyhounds won its first eight such contests before recording its only out-of-conference loss to date at the UIndy Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 29. The Hounds fell 77-63 to then 15th-ranked Hillsdale.
Double Dip: In Saturday's performance at CSU,
Sarah Fenneman became the second Greyhound to notch a double-double this season, joining teammate
Jessica Canary in the elite group. Canary leads the GLVC with three double-double games this season.
Woman of Steal: With 164 career steals and counting, junior
Katie Dewey now sits in 10th place in the school annals in the category. The Franklin Central grad has compiled a 3.2 steals-per-game average this season, good for second in the league. At her current pace, Dewey would finish the year with around 100 steals, putting her in position to make a serious run at the program record of 327 during her fourth and final season.
