EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team shot a blistering 85% from the floor in the second half on the way to a 93-68 victory against Southern Indiana at the Physical Activities Center Sunday afternoon. The Greyhounds received a career-high 15 points and five assists from junior
Katie Dewey to help hand USI its first loss at home this season.

Samantha Meissel book ended the run with a lay-up on the first possession and a short jumper 3:28 in.
Southern Indiana, UIndy head coach
LeAnn Freeland's alma mater, was able to cut into and eventually eliminate the Indianapolis lead. The Eagles (8-5, 1-3 GLVC) answered the initial UIndy surge with a 9-1 run and later earned their first lead by going up 16-15 with 9:34 to go in the half.
However, Indianapolis would slowly rebuild its advantage back to double-digits before the break. The frontcourt tandem of Meissel and
Sarah Fenneman combined for 23 first-half points.
After play resumed, it didn't take long for the Greyhounds to add to their lead. Early threes from Meissel and
Jessica Canary made it 46-32 UIndy. USI got it back down to 10 before UIndy orchestrated a 13-2 run to up the margin to 21 points. Five different Greyhounds scored during the game-changing rally.
The Hounds led by as many as 27 before the final buzzer sounded. Indianapolis finished with a season-high .600 field goal percentage, including a 17-for-20 effort in the second half. UIndy's .625 three-point field goal percentage (10-for-16) and five blocked shots also marked season highs for the squad.
Individually, Meissel led the way with 23 points, followed closely by Canary's 19 points. Dewey's point total of 15 was bolstered by 3-of-3 shooting from behind the arc while Evansville, Ind. native Fenneman returned to her hometown to total 14 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
