INDIANAPOLIS- As just one of only two non-Division I schools competing, the fifth-ranked University of Indianapolis women's golf team grabbed the second-place spot among 14 teams at the Butler Fall Invitational Tuesday, held at Eagle Creek Golf Club. UIndy finished with a two-day score of 622 (311-311) to sit five strokes back of winner Eastern Illinois.
Freshman
Megan Kiley helped lead the way for the Greyhounds. After a near perfect day Monday, the Leo, Ind. native battled rainy conditions Tuesday and carded a 76 to bring her two-day total to 154. She tied for sixth among the 87 golfers to notch her fifth top-10 finish in six collegiate events.
Senior
Lyndsay McBride also finished with a 154, buoyed by an opening-round 75 Monday. The defending D-II national champion has yet to place below sixth this season.

Sarah Prascsak carded matching 78s to share 11th, junior
Allison Tyler finished two back of Prascsak in 15th place, and freshman
Lauren Vogt shot a 161 (82-79) to tie for 28th.
UIndy also had two individual competitors at the tournament, as
Darin Pinnick and
Ashley Seaton finished one-two among the individuals. Pinnick's 160 (79-81) was good for a share of 25th while Seaton's 162 (82-80) earned her a tie for 32nd.
Despite all the D-I schools in attendance, it was NAIA All-American Angela Gauck that topped the leaderboard. The Marian University senior and North Decatur High School grad fired a 141 (71-70) to finish six strokes ahead of second-place Jaymie Vorhess of EIU.
Indianapolis caps its fall schedule in the Sunshine State as the Hounds travel to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. and PGA National for the always-challenging Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational Oct. 13-14.
