Meet results
ANDERSON, Ind.- The Greyhounds men's and women's track and field teams had one final tuneup prior to the league championships as they headed to Anderson University for the Raven Invitational Saturday. UIndy recorded 11 winners at the meet, which was not scored for team results.
Lindsay Houvener grabbed the win in the 3,000-meter run with an 11:00.57 time.
Michael Landy took the mile run, finishing in 4:25.99.
Shirah Bennett bested the field in the 55-meter hurdles, crossing in 8.80.
Nick Seagor did the same on the men's side, winning in 7.83.
Skyler Mattox took the 55-meter dash in 6.63 seconds and also took the long jump event (7.01m).
Josh Gornall marked a time of 2:00.28 in winning the 800 meter race.
Chelsey Chang was the women's long jump champion (4.96m).
Brian Back was the winner in the high jump (1.90m) and
Emily Schaf was the top placer on the women's side (1.65m).
Willie Little produced a 18.85-meter effort in the men's 35-lb. weight throw, good for first place and just missing out on an NCAA automatic qualifier (19.00m).
The Greyhounds will now prepare for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for Friday and Saturday in Crawfordsville, Ind. The meet will be held on the campus of Wabash College.
