NORMAN, Okla.- The Golf Coaches Association of American announced the remainder of its post-season awards this week, with UIndy junior
Seth Fair and freshman
Aaron Monson joining teammate
Justin Hueber on the list. After Hueber was announced as a
First Team All-American two weeks ago, Monson garnered All-American Honorable Mention while Fair took All-Midwest Region honors.
Monson capped a fantastic rookie season with a team-high fifth-place finish at the
NCAA D-II Championship May 22. The GLVC Freshman of the Year averaged 73.7 strokes in 36 rounds this season while notching three top-five finishes.
In addition to his performance at nationals, a season highlight for Monson came Sep.22 when he led UIndy to the team title at the
Midwest Fall Regional. His 11-under par 133 set the program record for lowest 36-hole score while also topping the 105-man field to take medalist's honors.
Fair's all-region recognition marks the second such honor for the Brownsburg, Ind. native. He also picked up his second straight All-GLVC nod this year as the Greyhounds' No. 2 golfer.
He racked up seven top-ten finishes during the season on the way to 73.1 strokes-per-round average. Fair took the individual title at the Division I- heavy Butler Fall Invite Oct. 7 before going on to tie for third at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Apr. 10.
