INDIANAPOLIS- UIndy head men's and women's swimming coach Gary Kinkead announced the signing class of 2009-10 to join the Greyhounds beginning in the fall of the academic year.  All are looking to make an immediate impact for UIndy and strengthen squads that each finished in the top 15 at the national meet last season.

The group of 11 joins a Greyhound team that has consistently shown well at the NCAA Division II Championships as the women placed 11th and the men finished 15th this past season.

The initial list of six signees includes four from Indiana, one Michigander and an international student from Israel.  Maura Donahue will join sister Meghan Donahue on next year's squad.

Additional signees will be announced prior to the season as the combined roster for the squads is nearing 50 student-athletes, providing quality depth in the ever-tough Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  Both teams took third at the league meet in 2008-09.
