Swim teams earn national academic honors

Complete list of CSCAA Division II Scholar All-Americans
INDIANAPOLIS- Eight UIndy swimmers were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Scholar All-Americans according to a release by the organization this week. In addition, both teams were bestowed with Division II Team Scholar All-America accolades by CSCAA.
According to the release, the Greyhound women posted a 3.41 combined grade point average for the Spring semester, tied for third-best among swim programs in NCAA D-II. Four individuals grabbed CSCAA Scholar All-America honors:
Meghan Donahue (Milan, Mich./Milan),
Jaclyn Luscomb (La Porte, Ind./La Porte),
Isabela Tafur (Cali, Columbia) and
Ozlem Taskin (Frankfurt, Germany/Schillerschule).
The UIndy men checked in at 3.17 combined for the Spring semster, third-best among male D-II programs.
Austin Biefnes (Aurora, Colo./Grandview),
Greg Jarvis (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove),
Eric Mundt (Portage, Ind.) and
Adam Petro (Indianapolis, Ind./Decatur Central/Wabash) were lauded with Scholar All-America nods.
Student-athletes must carry a 3.5 grade point average and qualify for the NCAA Chmapionships in order to receive Scholar All-America honors.
