ANGOLA, Ind.- Led by defending national champion Lyndsay McBride, the University of Indianapolis women's golf team opened its 2009-10 season with a convincing 24-stroke win at the Trine University Fall Invitational at Zollner Golf Course Sunday.  McBride took medalist honors with an eight-over 148, five strokes better than runner-up and fellow UIndy senior Sarah Prascsak.

All of the seven competing Greyhounds finished in the top half of the field, including taking four of the top five individual spots.  The Hounds combined for a two-day team score of 621 (307-314) to comfortably best the four-team field.

McBride had the best score on each of the event's two days, starting with a 78 Saturday and a 73 Sunday. Prascsak, who began the day in a three-way tie for second, shot seven-over par Sunday to secure sole possession of second place.
