EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Led by individual medalist Lyndsay McBride, the eighth-ranked University of Indianapolis women’s golf team continued its productive fall by taking the team title at the Screaming Eagle Golf Classic at Cambridge Golf Course Sunday and Monday.  The Greyhounds achieved a number of personal bests at the event, including a career-high fourth-place showing from Darin Pinnick (Washington, Ind./Washington).

Pinnick (pictured), who competed as an individual, fired a 77 Sunday and a career-low 74 Monday to snag her first top-5 finish as a collegian.  The Washington, Ind. native especially excelled on the par 4s.  She finished +4 on course’s 20 par-4 holes, good for a tournament-low 4.20 average.

Meanwhile, medalist Lyndsay McBride (Bristol, Ind./Northridge) racked up 21 pars and tournament-best seven birdies in the event, while leading the 65-golfer field with a 4.5 scoring average on the par 5s.  The win marks McBride’s third in four tournaments this fall and brings her season winning percentage to a near-perfect 295-1.

Junior Allison Tyler (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) made it three Greyhounds in the top 10, as her 155 (74-81) was good for a share of sixth.  Like Pinnick, Tyler set new personal bests in both individual placement and 18-hole score.

Freshman Megan Kiley (Leo, Ind./Leo) shared 18th place with a 161 (81-80) in her fourth college tournament, three strokes ahead of classmate Lauren Vogt (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb).  Senior Ashley Seaton (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) earned a team spot heading into the event and finished tied for 30th with a 166 (87-79).

In her first individual effort of her career, Sarah Prascsak (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) used a second-round 77 to jump from to 15th to 11th and finish with a two-day score of 157.

Up next for UIndy is the GLVC Championship Preview, held at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill. Sep. 26-27.  Golf Digest rated Annbriar one of America's Top 500 "Places to Play."*
