BIG RAPIDS, Mich.- University of Indianapolis senior Lyndsay McBride made it two-for-two Saturday by taking medalist honors for the second time in as many events this year.  The defending national champion fired a one-over 145 to top the field at the Bulldog Invitational and lead the Greyhounds to a second-place finish in the 18-team event, held at Katke Golf Course.

McBride's effort was one stroke off the program record for lowest two-round score, set by Amy Wenning in 2003.  McBride was one back of the leader, Southern Indiana's Jess Dooley, after 18 holes, but while Dooley struggled with a second-round 85, McBride surged with an even-par 72 to earn her fourth career title.

Fellow senior Sarah Prascsak also had a strong showing.  After finishing runner-up to McBride at last week's Trine Invite, Prascsak shot matching 75s to record an even 150 for the event, good for a share of fourth.

Freshmen Megan Kiley and Lauren Vogt continued their success at the collegiate level.  Kiley followed a third-place showing last week by tying for 10th in the 106-woman field with a 10-over 154 (76-78), while classmate Vogt tied for 22nd with a 159 (81-78).

Senior Ashley Seaton shared the 29th spot with a 163 (84-79) to round out the team scoring.

UIndy's two individual competitors used solid second-round scores to each make huge jumps up the leaderboard.  Junior Allison Tyler recorded the best score by an individual with a 156.  The Ben Davis grad jumped 12 spots when her second-round 75 helped earn a share of 12th.  Sophomore Darin Pinnick had an even more significant improvement, as she went from  59th to 38th with scores of 87 and 78.

UIndy will stay in Michigan for the annual Laker Fall Classic in Allendale Monday and Tuesday.  The Greyhounds had a record-setting performance there last season, as the ladies combined for a program-record team score of 300 to lift them to a second-place finish.
