UIndy 9, Rose-Hulman 0
INDIANAPOLIS- Valentine's Day and love was in the air. Nine-to-love to be more precise. The Greyhound men's tennis team earned a 9-0 blanking of Rose-Hulman at UIndy Tennis Center Sunday morning.
Despite the lofty team total, the Engineers battled forcing an extra set at No. 3 and a close 7-6, 7-5 decision at No. 5. All told, though, UIndy won five of the six singles matches in straight sets and swept the doubles pairings to improve to 4-2 overall this season.
Steffen Good had to rally from a 2-6 defeat in the second set at No. 3 singles, but did so with a 10-7 win in the super tiebreaker.
Werner Henning staved off his opponent with a 7-6 (5), 7-5 victory at No. 5 for the Greyhounds.
UIndy is back in action Friday when it hosts Wayne State University at 5:00 p.m.
