WSU grabs 9-0 win Friday

INDIANAPOLIS-  The Wayne State men's tennis team blanked host Indianapolis, 9-0 in an region contest at UIndy Tennis Center Friday evening. 

Alex Poe won the first set rather handily, 6-1, in his singles match at the No. 2 position.  His opponent, Britton Steele, outlasted Poe in the second set, 7-5, to send the match to a super tiebreaker.  There, Steele was able to grab a 10-6 win for to make it a 9-0 score for the visitors. 

UIndy (4-3 overall) will battle Franklin College at UIndy Tennis Center next Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the team's final match before its week-long Spring Break trip through Florida.
