INDIANAPOLIS- The Greyhound tennis teams each garnered convincing 9-0 wins over Franklin College Saturday morning at UIndy Tennis Center. The wins are the final action for both squads before they embark on their week-long spring break tour through Florida.
The UIndy women (4-1) lost just four games combined over the six singles positions, including three wins by 6-0, 6-0 scores as
Alena Perez-Majul,
Lee Matthews and
Rachel Barger all turned the trick.
The Greyhound men (5-3) also cruised to the win, winning the doubles portion handily. Singles play was more competitive, but all six UIndy players managed ot win in straight sets, led by
Alex Poe, who won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2.
The teams each play five matches over the spring break week, beginning Mar. 7 with a match against Minnesota State, Mankato in Orlando, Fla.
