UIndy's 2010 signing class includes 17 student-athletes
Bartolomeo welcomes first class at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS-  UIndy Head Football Coach Bob Bartolomeo announced his 2010 signing class on the first day of the NCAA signing period Wednesday.  The class includes 17 student-athletes from Indiana, Illinois and Ohio committed to enroll and play football for the Greyhounds in the fall.

“This class not only comes in with great athletic ability, but they’re also smart players,” Bartolomeo said.  “They averaged a 3.0 grade point average collectively.  We focused on athleticism at key positions-- down linemen, linebackers, running backs, H-backs and tight ends.  These gentlemen will represent the University of Indianapolis well.”

UIndy’s incoming class includes ten from the Hoosier State, five from Illinois and two from Ohio.  More signees are expected in the coming weeks.

The current team will begin spring practices on March 25 with the annual spring game played at Key Stadium on April 17 at Key Stadium.
