INDIANAPOLIS- The Greyhound women's soccer team took a 2-0 win over visiting Missouri S&T in GLVC action Friday, improving its record to 9-4-0; 7-3-0 in conference games.

Lauren Soza's fifth goal of 2011 put UIndy up very early. Soza scored in the second minute, finding herself in the right place at the right time on a misplay by the Lady Miner keeper. Soza finished a ball that came off the Missouri S&T (3-8-1; 3-8-0 GLVC) netminder on a shot by Megan Grassly.

Nicole Duncan pushed the score to 2-0 Greyhounds with a score just past the 71st minute. Duncan beat a pair of defenders and scored past the drawn out Lady Miner keeper on a ball from Shelby Spinelli, for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

UIndy held the slight edge in shots with 14 to the Lady Miners' 13, while the visitors took seven corner kicks to the Greyhounds' three.

Shae Morris and Michelle Kistler combined for the shutout in the UIndy net, with Kistler coming on with just more than nine minutes remaining in the contest. Morris made five saves in about 81 minutes of work.
