Box Score

INDIANAPOLIS- The Drury Panthers came away with a 1-0 win over the UIndy women's soccer team in GLVC action Sunday, with Drury (7-7-1; 4-7-1 GLVC) scoring in the final minutes of the contest to defeat UIndy (9-5-0; 7-4-0 GLVC).

The Panthers had a good chance in the 31st minute, but Nicole Williams' shot was denied by a great diving save from UIndy keeper Shae Morris.

Drury scored the gamewinner with less than three minutes to play in the game, with Lindsey Sprouse taking advantage of an open UIndy net. Sprouse scored on a deflected ball on the far side of the net across the frame, past a pulled away Morris.

The visitors out-shot UIndy 15-12 in the match, while the Greyhounds held the edge in corner kicks, 6-2. Morris suffered the loss in the net, making six saves in her 90-minute effort.

The Greyhounds continue on in GLVC play Tuesday, heading to St. Louis for a makeup contest at Missouri-St. Louis. UIndy is then on the road next Friday and Sunday as well, traveling to Rockhurst and William Jewell.
