Men's golf concludes fall slate

SEASIDE, Calif.- The UIndy men's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule at the Otter Invitational Monday and Tuesday.  The Greyhounds (302-304-306) placed 11th at the 15-team event, held at Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Club in Seaside, Calif.

The tournament featured 10 of the top-50 teams in the Golfstat.com head-to-head standings, as No. 30 Western Washington (297-302-288) downed No. 27 Cal State-Stanislaus (294-298-295) in a playoff to take the team title.  Meanwhile, Nova Southeastern's Ben Taylor (70-69-72) earned medalist honors.

UIndy senior Aaron Monson (77-70-76) notched his fourth top-20 finish in five fall events by sharing 14th place.  The Perry Meridian graduate finished seven-over par through 54 holes, including a two-under 70 in round two.  Monson concluded the fall with a team-best 73.8 scoring average and a solid .853 winning percentage.

No other Greyhounds finished in the top 40, as Jacob Yocum (T43), Tobin Dunigan (51), David Frank (T56) and Rob Gleixner (T68) rounded out the team scoring.  Sophomore Max Bowling competed as an individual and finished in a tie for 54th.
