INDIANAPOLIS- Members of the UIndy men's and women's soccer teams volunteered at Indianapolis' Riley Children's Hospital Thursday afternoon, helping put on a Fall Festival party.
"It's always great to be able to help people, especially kids," Greyhound junior
Ryan Barnett said. "Today was an awesome opportunity for us to visit with the kids, and once we got in the sprit of the party we all had a lot of fun as well."
The Greyhound student-athletes put on the party with the childlife department of Riley. UIndy's athletes manned the party's different stations, assisting the patients and their family in various arts and crafts projects and games.
"Getting our student-athletes out here to help Riley Children's Hospital is a great way to give back," Greyhound head coach John Higgins said. "We always have a fun time with the kids as well as helping the hospital staff."
