INDIANAPOLIS -- The season opener for the No. 14 UIndy volleyball team was cancelled after a power outage that affected much of campus struck Ruth Lilly Center and turned out the lights on the match with Wheeling Jesuit.

The match will not be resumed and their are no current plans to make-up the contest. Therefore, the match is officially a no contest. UIndy was leading after winning sets one and three when the match was halted around 7:28 p.m. with Wheeling Jesuit leading, 19-16, in the fourth set. Since the match was not completed, the stats compiled during play will not count.

The UIndy Invitational will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Friday with Ashland vs. No. 19 West Florida. The Greyhounds will play West Florida at 2 p.m. and No. 10 Hillsdale at 8 p.m.
