INDIANAPOLIS- The Greyhound women's soccer team earned a thrilling 1-0, double-overtime victory over visiting Ohio Dominican Sunday at Key Stadium, with a golden goal from
Nicole Duncan giving UIndy the win in the 106th minute.
Duncan scored from close-range in the right side of the box on a ball sent through by
Shelby Spinelli. The score, Duncan's first of the year, ended the game and pushed the Greyhounds to 2-0 on the season. The assist was Spinelli's second of the young season.
Both UIndy and Ohio Dominican each took 10 shots on the day, with the Greyhounds holding a 3-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
Shae Morris earned her second shutout victory of the year with the win. The Greyhound netmider made five saves in more than 105 minutes of work.
UIndy opens GLVC play this weekend, heading to Lewis for a Friday evening contest.
