ABOUT McKENDREE
Still in search of its first-ever GLVC win, McKendree brings an 0-7 conference record into play Thursday, part of a 5-10 overall mark.  The Bearcats, formerly a member of the NAIA, are in their provisional year in their transition towards NCAA Division II membership and thus will not be eligible for postseason until 2013-14.

One of only four GLVC teams that has allowed more points than its scored, McKendree ranks near the bottom of the conference in most  statistical categories.  However, the Bearcats have hoisted 300 shots from behind the 3-point arc, second only to Maryville's 317.

Individually, sophomore guard Caty Ponce leads the team in both scoring (16.5 ppg) and assists (3.1 apg).  Brittany Willis and Liz Gilman each average about 10 points per, while Shelby Woelfel puts up 8.0 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per night.

HOUNDS vs. BEARCATS
Thursday marks the first-ever meeting between UIndy and McKendree.

ABOUT BELLARMINE
The Knights come into their Thursday match-up at Saint Joseph's riding a three-game winning streak, a stretch that includes quality wins against Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis.

Bellarmine puts up more than 72 points per game, despite just one player averaging in double figures.  Senior guard Betsy Goodin leads the way with 11.4 ppg as on of six Knights averaging better than seven points per contest.

From the bench, Bellarmine is led by Chancellor Dugan, a veteran head coach who is in her first season at BU.  Prior to taking the Bellarmine job last June, the Louisville native coached 13 seasons at Division I Florida Atlantic (1999-2012) after an eight-year stint at Southern Indiana (1991-99).  In fact, Dugan's time at USI coincided with the collegiate career of former UIndy head coach and LeAnn Freeland.  Dugan and Freeland led the Screaming Eagles to three GLVC titles and an appearance in the 1997 DII championship game.

HOUNDS vs. KNIGHTS
Bellarmine holds a 36-27 advantage in the all-time series.  The Greyhounds took two of three decisions last season, however, including a convincing 84-56 home victory win in the first round of the GLVC Tournament.

After earning a 12-point lead at halftime, the Greyhounds held Bellarmine to just 22 second-half points at day, as no Knight scored more than five points after the break.

Kristin Turner led all scorers with 29 points, followed closely by Katy McIntosh's 22.  It marked just the third and final time two Hounds scored at least  20 points in the same game last season, a feat that has yet to be duplicated this year.

ROAD SWING
The Hounds went 1-2 on their second three-game road trip of the month.  The trip begin with a 67-61 loss at Kentucky Wesleyan.  KWC started the second half with a game-changing 17-2 run and finished with just eight turnovers compared to 18 from the Hounds.

Saturday's 70-69 loss at Southern Indiana marked the first time all season that the Hounds dropped a contest after leading at halftime.

After enduring its first back-to-back losses of the season, UIndy rebounded with a 90-47 blowout win at Saint Joseph's Monday.  Five Greyhounds reached double figures in points as the team shot a season-high 60-percent from the field.

POLL POSITION
Last week's losses resulted in a 10-spot drop in this week's USA TODAY Sports Division II Top 25 Poll.  Now at No. 15, the Hounds find themselves outside the top 10 for the first time since earned a No. 11 ranking in this year's preseason poll.

UIndy is still the highest-ranked GLVC team, however, as the league's only other top-25 squad, Southern Indiana, made its coaches' poll debut at No. 23.  Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis are also receiving votes.

SUPER SUBS
With three reserves reaching double figures Monday, the Greyhound bench accounted for 46 of the 90 points scored at Saint Joseph's.  Along with Shelby Wall's 12 points, Dajana Jovanovic set a new career high with 14 points, while Chas Lecher matched her career best with 10.

ONE-TWO PUNCH
As the highest-scoring tandem in the GLVC, UIndy's backcourt of Katy McIntosh (17.1 ppg) and Kristin Turner (15.7 ppg) combine for nearly 33 points per game.  Both rank in the league's top 10 in scoring, assists, assist-to-turnover ratio and minutes played.

Meanwhile, McIntosh's .526 field goal percentage ranks third in the conference and is the highest among all GLVC guards.  She's also the team's leading offensive rebounder (2.2 orpg).

WELCOME BACK, SYD
After missing five games due to injury, senior forward Sydney Weinert returned to the UIndy lineup last Thursday at KWC and delivered 10 points, three rebounds and two steals while shooting 5-for-5 from the field.  Her shooting efficiency marked the second time this season the Fort Wayne, Ind., product made at least five field goals without a miss, as she had a 6-for-6 effort versus Colorado Mines Nov. 23.

Last season, Weinert set single-season school records for blocked shots (67) and blocks per game (2.9) and still leads to team in both categories despite the missed time.

ON THE REBOUND
Redshirt-sophomore Kirsten Gliesmann grabbed 10 boards at USI last Saturday, good for her seventh game this season with double-digit rebounds.  Her 8.3 rebounds-per-game average is good for a share of fourth in the GLVC.  The last Greyhound to finish the season with a higher average  was Liz Ramsey, who corralled 10.4 boards per contest in 1998-99.

1K CLUB
With a season-high 25 points at USI last Saturday, senior Kristin Turner become the 19th woman to score 1,000 points in a Greyhound uniform and just the seventh to reach the mark in three seasons or less.

Fellow-guard Katy McIntosh is also on pace to join the 1,000-point club this season.  McIntosh heads into play this week with 921 career points, and at her current scoring pace, she could reach 1,000 by Feb. 7.

Turner and McIntosh would be the second pair of Hounds to reach the milestone in the same season.  In fact, the 17th and 18th members of the club, Jessica Canary and Sam Meissel, hit quadruple digits on the very same day -- a 77-59 win at Saginaw Valley on Nov. 21, 2009.
