Women's tennis concludes play at DePauw

Alex Covinton won three matches at the Tiger Invitational.

GREENCASTLE, Ind. –
The UIndy women's tennis team finished play at the Tiger Invitational hosted by DePauw by picking up six wins in singles and three in doubles.

In singles, the Greyhounds were led by Allie Smith and Brooke Boyts with two wins each.

Smith played in the No. 1 singles round robin and earned victories over Meg Crowley of DePauw 6-0, 4-6, (11-9) and Emily Raidt of Division I Oakland 6-4, 7-6 (6).

Boyts defeated Grace Keating of Oakland 6-3, 6-4 in No. 4 singles and Laura Shull of Division I Butler 4-6, 6-2, (10-4) at No. 5.

UIndy's other two wins also came against their D-I competition as Claire Liles won at No. 5 over Juliana Guevara of Oakland 0-6, 6-2, (10-5), while Alex Covington took out Sienna Reuter of Butler 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

In doubles, Covington and Macey Speer won 8-4 over Oakland and 8-5 against Butler at No. 3, while Taylor Eckert and Smith earned a 9-7 win over Oakland at No. 1.
