DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The UIndy women's golf team wrapped up its 2012-13 season with a seventh-place showing at the NCAA Division II Championship Saturday. The performance marks the team's second-highest showing at the DII finals.
Despite not having a single senior on its roster, the Greyhounds notched their fourth top-10 finish at the DII Championship in the last five years, settling just one stroke back of sixth-place Tarleton State. UIndy placed third at the 2009 championship, ninth in 2010 and ninth in last year.
Fresh off collecting her second straight all-region recognition, junior
Amy Thompson (79-75-82-76) shared 35th place as the team's top finisher.
Jenny Konop (74-83-78-79) tied for 39th and sophomore (87-74-75-79) placed 41st. Both carded a round of +2 during the 72-hole tournament, good for the lowest UIndy score of the event.

Chanice Young (87-75-76-88) tied for 49th and sophomore
Jaclyn Schindler (81-77-93-76) shared 53rd.
Lynn University won the team national championship, snapping Nova Southeastern's four-year stranglehold on the honor. Barry Nancy Vergara (71-72-73-75) edged NSU's Linnea Johansson (73-70-72-77) for the individual crown.
The 2013 NCAA Division II Championship was held at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
