INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis women's tennis head coach Malik Tabet has announced the addition of Maria Mendes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) for next season.

Mendes has been ranked as high as eighth in Brazil as a junior and comes to UIndy holding a ranking of 82 as an adult in Brazil.

She will pursue a major in communication and is the daughter of Fernando Augusto de Lima Mendes Jr., and Mara Bernal Penteado.

Mendes is the third addition to the Greyhounds after Anastasia Galitskaya (Moscow, Russia) and Selenay Heper (Bursa, Turkey).
