Women's tennis adds Russian standout

INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy women's tennis head coach Malik Tabet has announced the addition of Anastasia Galitskaya (Moscow, Russia) for next season.

Galitskaya has been ranked as high as No. 79 in Russia and holds a win over Mariya Tkachuk, who was ranked in the top 20 in the country when Galitskaya won.

She is a previous winner at "The Cup of Balashikha" and has made the main draw of an International Tennis Federation (ITF) event in Moscow.

The daughter of Denis Galitskiy and Daria Panteleeva is looking to major in sport management at UIndy. 

The Greyhounds won the third-place match at the 2013 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on the way to a 10-win season and a final ranking of sixth in the Midwest Region.
