Football: UIndy will look to spoil the playoff hopes of nationally-ranked Northwood University in the season finale at Key Stadium.  The Timberwolves enter the game with an 8-2 record and sit fourth in the NCAA Northwest Regional rankings.  UIndy's Craig Jenkins needs just 5 yards to become the school's all-time leader in rushing yards for a season (1,106- Mike Wisnevski, 1980).  The Greyhounds are 4-1 at home this season.

Men's Basketball:  The Greyhounds visit Bloomington, Ind. for the second straight year for a battle with the Indiana Hoosiers in exhibition play.  The game will serve as the team's final tuneup before the commencement of the regular season schedule.  UIndy's James Thompkins scored 18 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead all Greyhound players in the team's other exhibition game, a 94-63 loss at Wright State last Thursday.

Swimming and Diving:  Alison Smith was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Female Swimmer of the Week after her performance in last Saturday's dual win over visiting Ashland University.  Smith took four first place finishes and etched two NCAA B-cut times in the win.   Alex Arestis swam a 21.35 in the 50 freestyle and a 46.59 in the 100 freestyle, each good for an NCAA B-cut to lead the UIndy men.  The Greyhounds host Wayne State on Saturday in a GLIAC dual at the Ruth Lilly Center Pool.

Wrestling:  The Greyhound grapplers officially open their 2006-07 season when they head to Evanston, Ill. on Sunday for the Northwestern Duals.  Seven teams will compete at the event with the Greyhounds scheduled to battle Wisconsin (9:00 a.m.), Cornell College (1:00 p.m.) and host Northwestern (3:00 p.m.).  UIndy is ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association's preseason poll.  Four wrestlers are ranked within their respective weight classes: Shane Perkey (133, 3rd), Charlie Pingleton (149, 2nd), Mike Jackson (174, 4th), Jose Navarro (Hwt., 4th).

Women's Soccer:  The Greyhounds' run came to an end at #8 Grand Valley State in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region finals on Sunday.  The Hounds took a 1-0 lead into halftime, just the second time that the Lakers had trailed all season.  The Hounds end their record-setting campaign with a 17-5-1 record, a GLVC title and the team's first NCAA tourney win.  UIndy is ranked #25 in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II poll.

Volleyball:  UIndy advanced to the GLVC semifinals fifth straight season and registered its eighth straight 20-win season.  The Hounds fell to SIU Edwardsville in the semis, ending the season with an impressive 24-10 record.  Senior Lynne Ross was named to the All-Great Lakes Region Second Team and was a second team all-conference honoree as well.  Casey Chrzastowski was named to the honorable mention all-conference squad.

Cross Country:  The Greyhound women's team finished fifth and the men were 16th at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional meet held last Saturday.  The Hounds were paced by two top 20 finishes as LeAnn Sarka took 14th and Ashley Clifford was 19th individually for UIndy.  The Greyhound men were led by Adam Settle, who finished 42nd overall.
