Indoor Track and Field:  The Greyhounds open the 2006-07 season, heading to the Early Bird Invitatonal hosted by Illinois State this Saturday.  The event marks the lone competition of the fall semester as the Hounds will be off until Jan. 6 after this weekend.

Men's Basketball:  UIndy (1-2, 0-1 GLVC) welcomes perennial Great Lakes Valley Conference powers Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern Indiana to Nicoson Hall on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.  The Hounds are in search of their first conference win after dropping their opener to Missouri-Rolla on Saturday.  Last Thursday's meeting at Missouri-St. Louis was postponed due to weather and will be made up later in the season.  DeAndre Brock scored 23 points to lead UIndy in scoring, the second time he's been the team's top scorer in the season's first three games.

Swimming and Diving:  Alex Arestis was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Male Swimmer of the Week after his performance last weekend at the Ashland Invite.  He becomes the third UIndy swimmer to earn the league award this season (Alison Smith, Valerie Crosby) and the first Greyhound male to do so.  His 100 freestyle win came in a  'B'-cut time of 45.81.  He also earned an 'A'-cut on Saturday with a 1:40.08 clocking in his 200 freestyle win, part of a first-second-third finish for UIndy.  He would finish the successful weekend by earning a third NCAA qualifying time, a 21.49 in the 50 freestyle on Sunday.

Women's Basketball:  After opening conference play with a 59-47 road victory at Missouri-Rolla on Saturday, the Hounds look to continue their GLVC success as they host Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday, Dec. 7 and Southern Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 9.  The Hounds (3-1, 1-0 GLVC) are shooting over 40% from behind the arc, leading the Great Lakes Valley Conference in that stat.  Senior guard Mandy Geryak has scored twenty points in each of the last two games - wins over Gannon and Missuori-Rolla.

Wrestling:  The Greyhounds, fresh off a dominating performance at last weekend's "Little State" meet, will look to continue thier momentum this Saturday at Ohio Northern University.  The UIndy grapplers won five of the ten weight classes, including junior Shane Perkey, who was named the tourney’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.  Winners included: John Fleming (125 lbs), Shane Perkey (133), Charlie Pingleton (149), Mike Horton (157), and Joey Navarro (Hwt).

Greyhounds on TV:  The Hounds' games this Saturday against Southern Indiana will be televised (tape delay) on a host of different stations.  The games will be tape-delayed on SkyTrak Weather Network on Monday night (6:00/8:00).  Comcast Local will also re-air the games on Tuesday (7:00/9:00). They will also show on HomeTown 19 in Tipton and Hamilton counties on Tuesday (12:00/2:00, 4:00/6:00, 8:00/10:00).
