Men's Basketball:  The Greyhounds will welcome the top two teams in the GLVC West Division as the first-place Hawks invade Nicoson on Thursday followed by the second-place Cougars on Saturday.  Quincy has rattled off five straight wins including its most recent overtime win over Souther Indiana.  Senior Scott Strahm set new career marks in steals and assists in UIndy’s 64-59 win over Missouri-St. Louis last Monday.  Strahm registered five steals and handed out 10 assists in the win.  He leads the GLVC in assist to turnover ratio at 3.5. The Greyhounds have started 12 different players this season after Tyler Brand, Keith Radcliff and Jordan Barnard all earned their first starts of the season at Saint Joseph’s.

Women's Basketball:  After coming off a season-long road swing that saw the Hounds compile a 3-2 record, the UIndy women’s basketball squad returns home to Nicoson Hall for a Thursday/Saturday double against Quincy and West Division leading Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.  Indianapolis tops the Great Lakes Valley Conference in scoring defense.  In a Jan. 13 loss at Drury, junior Deanna Thomson notched the first double-double of her career by tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds. It is the fifth double-double recorded by a Hound this season, with the other fourth all coming from senior Amanda Norris.

Wrestling: The #13 Greyhounds will split squads this week and head to Campbellsville and Manchester this weekend.   UIndy split a pair of duals at the University of Central Missouri on Saturday.  UIndy cruised past Truman State, 40-12, but the host Mules squeaked out a 19-17 decision over the Hounds in the day's second dual.

Swimming and Diving: Isabela Tafur was recently named the GLIAC Female Swimmer of the Week.  She becomes the fifth different UIndy swimmer to earn the league's weekly award.  The Greyhounds have two final swims on the docket before the GLIAC Championships.  UIndy heads to Grand Valley State this weekend, followed by hosting Northern Michigan (women) and Wabash (men) on Jan. 27.

Track and Field: The Greyhounds head to Crawfordsville, Ind. to compete in the Wabash Alumni Invitational.  Junior Amy Schmitz won the weight throw to lead the track and field teams at the Indiana Open II on Saturday.  Schmitz's winning 16.22-meter throw came on her third attempt as she outdistanced her competition by nearly three-quarters of a meter to highlight a big day for the UIndy throwers.  The Greyhounds had four throwers in the top seven of the women's weight throw with Schmitz winning and junior Andrea Horban in third place followed by Courtney Kuzmicz and Megan Wolfe finishing in sixth and seventh, respectively.  The Greyhound men's throwers were very successful as well, placing three in the top seven in the weight throw.
