"After finishing my basketball career at the University of Indianapolis, it was time for me to try and accomplish my biggest dream. Since I first started playing basketball, my dream was always to play college basketball and then play professional basketball overseas. That dream came true for me after playing at the University of Indianapolis. Luckily I had amazing coaches at the University of Indianapolis and they pushed me to become the best player I could.
Last season I was asked to play for the Probuild Lions, which was a division 1 team in Landsmeer, Holland. It was going to be a big step for me leaving my friends and family in Indiana, but a step I wanted more than anything. My first season at the professional level was amazing. Our team in Holland won two cups, the Final Four Tournament in January and the Beker Cup in March. We made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs. I was selected for the All Star game, participated in the three point contest, and was selected as one of the five all stars for the league. With all these accomplishments I also averaged 17 points a game. None of this would have been possible without Coach Moren and the rest of her coaching staff. Coach Moren had always pushed me to be better and taught me so much over the four years I played for her on and off the court.
After my first season at the professional level, I came back home for the summer to workout and hopefully find another team to play for. I spent a lot of time with the UIndy basketball players, working out, shooting and playing open gyms. I believe they have a lot of talent for this upcoming season and wish them the best of luck. With the coaching staff they have and the players they have it should be an exciting year for the Greyhounds.
During the summer I was contacted by a team in Germany to play the following year for their team. I am currently now in Noerdlingen, Germany. I am playing in the second division in Germany. So far the team is looking very good and our season starts October 8th.
The seasons overseas are very long and tough, but all in all, it has been a dream of mine since a basketball was first put in my hands. It is very challenging being so far from my friends and families, but so far both teams I have played for overseas have become a second family for me. Just like my teammates in Holland last year have become some of my close friends and one is my best friend. It is an experience of a life time and I get to play the sport I love and travel the world. Still I will never forget everything I have learned from Coach Moren and all my teammates from Indianapolis. They will always be part of my family."
