- The 2010-11 combined cumulative GPA of UIndy’s 551 student-athletes was 3.23.
- The Greyhounds have finished in the top 20 nationally in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings five years in a row and eight of the past nine years. UIndy was 20th in 2010-11 and
finished fifth in the standings in 2008-09, its highest-ever finish.
- UIndy was won the Great Lakes Valley Conference All Sports Trophy in 1978-79, 1994-95 and 2002-03.
- Seven UIndy athletics teams finished the 2010-11 season in the top 25.

Lyndsay McBride became the D-II women’s golf
national champion in 2009 after leading her team to its highest-ever finish at the NCAA finals (T-3rd). Wrestler Nick Walpole was
national champion at 149 pounds in 2011 to become the first individual wrestling national champion in school history.
- UIndy had four student-athletes named their respective sport’s
Great Lakes Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2009-10, marking the seventh time in the past decade that Indianapolis has led all league schools in honorees.
- Greyhound athletes garnered 41 All-American, 64 all-region and 76 all-conference honors in 2010-11. UIndy also had 200 student-athletes earn academic all-conference honors and the wrestling team was named
Academic National Champions.
- As of Dec. 8, 2011, UIndy has had 54 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Americans
all-time. That total includes 32 different honorees since 2000.

Elite 88 award in 2009.
Allison Tyler also won her sport's (women's golf)
Elite 88 award in 2010. The prestigious Elite 88 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s 88 championships.
