Wrestling coach at Warren Central High School from 1983-1994 with a dual meet record of 138-36, where he produced seven IHSAA Sectional Championship teams, three regional championship teams, one semi-state team and three Marion County tournament championships.
Also coached 33 individual IHSAA state tournament qualifiers, 13 state wrestling tournament place winners, two state runner-ups and two state wrestling champions
In 1988 and 1991, he was the University of Indianapolis Alumni Coach of the Year
Warren Central Coaches Association Coach of the Year in both 1987 and 1990
Inducted into the Indiana High School Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2011
