Russell delivers UIndy's first NCAA win

EDWARDSVILLE, Ind.-  The Greyhound softball team etched its first-ever NCAA postseason win with a 3-1 victory over West Virginia State at the Great Lakes Regional Thursday night.  The win was highlighted by a relief effort from Megan Russell, who not only earned the win, but drove-in the winning runs in the fourth inning.

SAUGET, Ill.- The University of Indianapolis baseball team (37-19) orchestrated a 14-2 rout of Southern Indiana Thursday in the opening game of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill.  In a game pushed back five hours due to rain, UIndy racked-up 13 hits, including three homeruns, in overcast conditions against the GLVC West Division's number-one seed.

Hounds drop 1-0 decision in NCAA opener

EDWARDSVILLE, Ind.-  The University of Indianapolis made its NCAA tournament debut with a tough 1-0 loss at the hands of Wayne State University at Cougar Park Thursday afternoon.  The Hounds will now drop to the loser's bracket of the Great Lakes Regional, facing the loser of top-seed SIU Edwardsville and No. 8 West Virginia State.

Paul selected to Academic All-District First Team

University of Indianapolis senior Seth Paul has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors Association of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Baseball Academic All-District 5 First Team.  Paul (Muncie, Ind.) leads the Greyhounds in homeruns and RBI while maintaining a 3.71 GPA Curriculum and Instruction.  His first-team selection means he will be eligible for All-American consideration.
