KNOXVILLE, Tenn.-   The UIndy cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association's College Spirit Camp at the University of Tennessee Knoxville on July 27-28 with over 800 college cheerleaders, mascots, and coaches attending.  The all girl squad took classes in game planning, safety and stunts. The squad earned five superior ribbons in game planning, sideline cheering, and cheers.  The final day of camp, the squad competed with eight other all girl Division II squads.  They earned fourth place in both sideline cheering and cheer.

The cheerleaders will be having a golf outing August 24 at the Valley Vista Golf Club.  Proceeds from this outing will help pay for next summer's college spirit camp.  For more information, contact Diane Drumm at ddrumm@uindy.edu or 788-3246.
