INDIANAPOLIS- Senior soccer players Abby Tracy and Brian Fishback received recognition for their work off the field Thursday from CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine, being named the the Academic All-District V teams. Tracy was honored on the all-district first team, while Fishback earned a spot on the second team.

Tracy, the Greyhounds' goalkeeper, earned the honor via her 3.92 GPA as a Biology/Chemistry (pre-med) major. The senior has started all 16 Greyhound contest so far in 2008, and has nine shutouts in 10 wins, good for second in the GLVC. She ranks fifth in the conference with 74 saves, and has a goals against average of 0.68, also fifth in the GLVC. Tracy also has a saves percentage of .851, which is third in the conference, and has one assist on the season on the offensive side of the ball. She already holds UIndy season records for wins, GAA and shutouts. The women's soccer team begins postseason play this weekend, traveling to Quincy for the first round of the GLVC Tournament. First kick is Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fishback, an accounting major, has a GPA of 3.78. The senior midfielder has started 15 of UIndy's 16 games on the season and has one goal. He has four assists for a season total of six points, and led the team in scoring last season. Fishback and the Hounds head into GLVC Tournament play this weekend, traveling to Drury for their first round game Saturday night at 7.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Greyhounds bowed out of the GLVC Tournament early, falling 2-1 at Drury to take themselves out of tournament play. The loss drops UIndy's record to 6-7-4 on the year. Drury improves to 13-5-1 with the win and will face the winner of Rockhurst and Wisconsin-Parkside in the tournament's semi-finals.
