ANGOLA, Ind.- The Greyhound wrestling team narrowly lost a dual meet decision, 22-18, at Trine Tuesday evening. UIndy was forced to forfeit the 197 and 285 matches, but scored wins in five bouts.
Jimmy Nichols started the meet off with a win for the Greyhounds, taking the 125 match 2-1. Ethan Harris took a forfeit win in the 133 matchup, and Matt Irwin follwed with a 3-2 win at 141. UIndy suffered its first setback in the 140 bout, with David Lopez falling 3-2.
Cory Fornal (pictured) took the biggest decision of the night for the Greyhounds in the 157 match, winning 6-0. Jacob Blackwell then scored the final UIndy win of the night in the 165 class, taking his match 5-4.
UIndy returns to action this weekend, traveling to the Monon Bell Duals Saturday. Wrestling is slated to begin at 9 a.m.
