On tap:  The Greyhounds will look to play spoiler this week with a road game at rival Saint Joseph's Thursday before the season finale with Wisconsin-Parkside at home.  Thursday's game has playoff implications as the Pumas are in the running for one of the last two GLVC berths up-for-grabs in the season's final week.  A SJC loss would strike a punishing blow to the Pumas' postseason aspirations.  On Saturday, the leading scorer in all of Division II comes to Nicoson Hall in the form of LaVontay Fenderson and the Hounds could spoil his chances at a scoring crown.

About SJC:  The Pumas are 7-9 in conference play, sitting even with Quincy (7-9) and just ahead of Drury (6-9) and Missouri-St. Louis (6-10).  One of those last three teams will grab the No. 3 seed out West while everyone else scrambles to secure the “Wild Card” spot.   SJC's season may have been saved last Saturday with a huge win over #5 Northern Kentucky, 79-73.  That win put a halt to a skid that saw the Pumas drop four of five, beginning with a 81-68 loss to UIndy back on Jan. 31.   Austin Peebles is the team's leading scorer at 12.0 points per game and Brandon Mayse leads the club with 6.9 rebounds per contest.

About UWP:  The Rangers--despite having the GLVC's leading scorer and teh league's top rebounder-- will be playing out the string after a tough 2008-09 campaign.  UWP is currently in the midst of an eight-game losing streak overall and 10 straight in conference play.  Parkside does not own a win on the road in GLVC play this season (0-8).  Senior LaVontay Fenderson is tops in the nation with his 25.8 points per game average and has seven games of 30 points or more, highlighted by his 52-point effort vs. Saint Joseph's on Feb. 12.  DaMarcus Bell averages 7.3 rebounds per game to lead the conference.

UIndy Head Coach Stan Gouard:  Stan Gouard is in his first season as the head man at Indianapolis.  Gouard was introduced as the new head of the Greyhound program on Apr. 3, 2008.  He previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Indiana State following his three-year stint as an assistant at UIndy.  While at Indianapolis, Gouard was part of the staff that helped the Hounds to a 47-31 record, advancing to the NCAA tournament all three seasons.

Senior Sendoff:  The Greyhounds saw farewell to five seniors this week who will all play in their final collegiate games.  Donald Cloutier, Tyke Cockerham, Keith Radcliff, Braxton Mills and Tristan Rogers have all found their way into the UIndy record books in some way.  Check the PDF release to take a look at some of their most notable marks (and where they stand in the school's record books).

Last Meeting vs. SJC:  Braxton Mills posted a double-double with a team-high 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Greyhounds to a 81-68 win over Saint Joseph's on Jan. 31 at Nicoson Hall.  UIndy led the entire way and out-rebounded the Pumas 38-15.  Four different Greyhounds scored in double figures, led by Mills' 15 and complemented by Williams' career-best 14 points.  Keith Radcliff added 11 and Tyke Cockerham 10.  Tristan Rogers had nine points and 10 rebounds in a solid effort for UIndy.  Phillip Collins finished the night with 18 points and Austin Peebles chipped-in 14 for the Pumas.

Last Meeting vs. UWP:  Larry Woods and Keith Radcliff each scored 20 points as the visiting Hounds picked-up a 89-71 win over host Wisconsin-Parkside on Jan. 29.  Woods' effort helped the Hounds' reserves outscore the UWP bench by a 36-7 margin.  Tristan Rogers chipped-in 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while Tyke Cockerham added 14, part of four Greyhounds in double-figures scoring.

Sweepstakes:  UIndy is gunning for two sweeps this week after beating both Saint Joseph's and UW-Parkside earlier in the year.  The Hounds last beat two teams twice in a season back in the 2006-07 campaign when they beat Kentucky Wesleyan and Bellarmine two times each.
