On tap: UIndy will take its two-game winning streak into the brand new Bank of Kentucky Center Saturday for a date with the No. 7 Northern Kentucky Norse. The Norse, currently leading the GLVC East, are winners of seven straight heading into the week's action and are 9-2 in league play. NKU won the earlier meeting this season, a 76-61 decision at Nicoson Hall on Dec. 4.
About NKU: The Norse have ascended to No. 7 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coaches Poll (Feb. 3). NKU takes care of the basketball well, appearing fourth in all of Division II in turnovers per game (11.5). The Norse are led by Dustin Maguire's 15.7 points per game output followed by 12.1 per contest from Leslie Malone. Maguire's .911 free throw percentage ranks second in the country, tops in the league.
Last Meeting: Then No. 20-ranked NKU bested UIndy, 76-61 at Nicoson Hall Dec. 4. The visiting Norse used two long scoring runs-- one in each half-- to distance itself from the host Greyhounds. NKU went on a 18-2 run to take an early 22-7 lead then scored 17 straight points midway through the second half to erase a seven-point UIndy lead.
Keith Radcliff led all scorers with 17 points and four different NKU players were in double figures.
UIndy Head Coach Stan Gouard: Stan Gouard is in his first season as the head man at Indianapolis. Gouard was introduced as the new head of the Greyhound program on Apr. 3, 2008. He previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Indiana State following his three-year stint as an assistant at UIndy. While at Indianapolis, Gouard was part of the staff that helped the Hounds to a 47-31 record, advancing to the NCAA tournament all three seasons.

In the win at Wisconsin-Parkside, Rogers posted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He followed that with a nine-point, 10-rebound effort vs. Saint Joseph's on Saturday. For the week, Rogers averaged 25.5 minutes, made 8-of-12 from the floor, connected on both triple tries and was a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
