INDIANAPOLIS- Senior Jimmy Nichols led the Greyhounds to a rolling 32-10 win against the University of the Cumberlands at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center Saturday afternoon. The win levels UIndy's record at 6-6 on the year in dual meets, while the Patriots fall to 2-11 in duals on the year. Nichols was honored during the match as the lone senior on the 2008-09 Greyhound roster.

Nichols defeated Larone Madison of the Patriots in the 125 bout with a 4-2 overtime decision. The pair wrestled to a 2-1 score after the three regulation periods, but Nichols' advantage in the riding time sent the match into overtime where he sealed the win.

The Hounds went on to take wins in seven of the last nine bouts, with Ethan Harris winning 3-1 in the 133 class, Matt Irwin taking a 3-2 win at 141 and David Lopez earning a 5-4 decision at 149. Cory Fornal took the 157 match with a 16-0 technical fall in 4:47, and Jacob Blackwell follwed with a pin in 4:55 in the 165 bout.

UIndy's next win came in the 174 match, with #J.T. Jenkins taking a 12-5 decision. Lynn Panko# then slammed the door on the Patriots with authority, pinning his opponent in 1:20 in the heavyweight bout.

The Greyhounds head to Mount Saint Joseph's Tuesday for a dual meet, with the first bout scheduled for 6:15 p.m. UIndy will then spend Valentine's Day at Findlay and the Carson-Newman Invitational.
