CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. – Bolstered by top-10 performances from junior Sarah Prascsak and senior Kristi Piepenbrink, the University of Indianapolis women's golf team finished fourth at the Eastern Kentucky El Diablo Intercollegiate Citrus Springs, Fla. Friday. The field featured 15 talented teams, with all but UIndy affiliated with Division I.

The Greyhounds endured a slow start Thursday, as their first-round team score of 322 put them in 10th place. The team responded with a 305 in round two, however, just three strokes off the program's 18-hole record. That effort vaulted them up six spots, and after a 310 in Friday's final round, the Hounds easily secured a fourth-place finish at the event.

Prascsak (77-73-74) placed third with a 224 to lead the Greyhounds, good for her first top-three finish of 2008-09. Piepenbrink (75-75-78) shared seventh place and has yet to finish out of the top ten in all six events she's played this year.

Junior Lyndsay McBride improved on her first-round 86 with a 77 and 79 to tie for 31st in the 84-woman field while sophomore Allison Tyler and freshman Darin Pinnick each tied 53rd with matching 251s. Meanwhile, junior Ashley Seaton competed as an individual and shared 76th place with a 265.

UIndy heads back up north after a productive Spring Break to compete in the Northern Kentucky Spring Fling Mar. 28-29.
