MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala.- The 19th-ranked UIndy men's golf team placed fifth among a solid 23-team field this weekend in the North Alabama Spring Classic at the Robert Trent Jones of the Shoals Fighting Joe Course. Indianapolis finished the event with a two-round score of 611, led by sophomore Blair Webb's (Avon. Ind./Avon) top-ten showing.
Webb carded a six-over 150 for the tournament that included an even-par in the first round. He and the other 117 golfers fought rainy conditions throughout the second day, leading to increased scores.

Six of the top eight teams are featured in the Golf World/Nike D-II Poll. The event host, No. 9 North Alabama (597), held off 22nd-ranked Washburn (599) for the team title, followed by No. 4 Lander (608) and No. 11 Lynn (610).
Washburn's Matt Ewald and UNA's Brett Munson and Wes Smith all finished with matching 145s to share medalist honors. There was no playoff due to rain.
