INDIANAPOLIS- The University of Indianapolis piled up another double-digit run total against Kentucky Wesleyan Sunday in a 12-1 win at Greyhound Park. UIndy picked up its 25th win of the season by run-ruling the Panthers after seven innings, thanks in part to a grand slam from Erik Rieker.

KWC (7-28, 3-13 GLVC) garnering a leadoff walk to help plate a run in the bottom of the first and take its first lead of the weekend. UIndy starter Andrew Werner walked the leadoff man in three of the first four innings, but allowed just the first inning tally.

The Greyhounds picked up two runs in the third, two in the fourth, and one in the fifth to go up 5-1 and take control of the game, but UIndy's big inning came in the sixth.

The Greyhounds batted around in the frame while scoring seven runs. Chase Kittinger plated the inning's first run with an RBI double down the leftfield line. Five Hounds followed and reached base safely before Rieker stepped to the plate. Immediately after Adam Rusche drew an RBI walk, the UIndy designated hitter blasted a towering fly ball to left, finding National Avenue and plating four runs in the process.

After walking a man in the fourth, Werner (4-0) retired 12 straight hitters to go on to the complete-game win. The senior allowed just three hits and one run while striking out six.

Eight Greyhounds scored at least one run in the contest, including three by Rusche and two by Justin Russell. Kittinger and Ben Sondgeroth each drove in two runs, while Rieker's four RBI marked a career high.

UIndy (25-12, 13-3) hosts a single game versus Urbana Tuesday before hitting the meat of its conference schedule. First pitch from Greyhound Park Tuesday will be at 2:30 pm.
