BELLE VERNON, Pa.- The 12th-ranked UIndy women's golf team finished fourth at the Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pa. The Greyhounds combined for a two-round team score of 658 Sunday and Monday, led by junior
Sarah Prascsak's 16-over 160.
Prascack notched her fourth top-10 finish by tying for sixth place among the 76-golfer field. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native edged teammate and newly named GLVC March Female Golfer of the Month
Kristi Piepenbrink by a single stroke, as Piepenbrink (82-79) totaled a 161 to take eighth place.
Junior
Lyndsay McBride carded a 187 to share 16th, sophomore
Allison Tyler finished with a 172 for 24th place, and freshman
Darin Pinnick tied for the 28th spot with a 176. Junior
Ashley Seaton competed as an individual and shot a 182 to tie for 42nd.
Grand Valley State's Kristina Langton (76-79) took the individual medal while also leading the Lakers to the team title. Fifth-ranked GVSU finished Sunday with a six-stroke over host California-Pa. before pulling away for the 21-stroke win during the second and final round.
The UIndy ladies next head to West Lafayette this weekend to participate in the Purdue Midwest Shootout Saturday, Apr. 11.
